As part of the directions for the coming years, Wrocław aims to become a smart city with an economy based on knowledge and wisdom. The meeting was organized by the Treasurer of Wrocław, Mr. Marcin Urban, and the Department for Supporting Wrocław Entrepreneurship on March 13, 2024. Its aim was to gather opinions on the current state and propose city activities for the development of businesses in the future.

During the meeting, questions were raised, including: what are the barriers to the development of businesses, how is cooperation with municipal institutions, where do the city's competencies end and state competencies begin, what works exceptionally well, and what are the positive models. The conclusions and recommendations of entrepreneurs, both at the level of general city policy and specific projects, will be included in the strategic document on entrepreneurship development.

From the vision presented in the above document, it follows that the city's strategy and all activities, especially those of a creative and innovative nature, are to be supported by:

·   A efficiently functioning administration, using e-services to manage the city, including the economic sphere,
·  Universities practically educating and commercializing knowledge,
·  Entities of the business environment collaborating effectively with each other and with other entities.

It is worth noting that SatRev is a Wrocław-based space company headquartered in Sky Tower, which has been continuously developing since 2016 in designing, producing, and servicing nanosatellites and expertise in data analysis, appreciating the proactive attitude of the city in supporting entrepreneurship. SatRev acknowledges the city's active involvement in supporting entrepreneurship, of which the company is an example. Furthermore, both parties have been cooperating uninterruptedly for several years on behalf of Satellite Tax Control Support - thanks to the SmartCity service provided by SatRev, intended not only for large but also small and medium-sized cities and municipalities located in Poland.

SatRev appreciates the proactive way the city operates, demonstrating readiness to listen to and respond to the needs of local entrepreneurs. Through regular consultations and dialogue, the city can better understand specific business requirements and expectations, allowing it totailor its actions and support measures to maximize support for business development.

"SatRev provides property tax audit services in both large cities and rural municipalities. During the 36-month cooperation with the City of Wrocław, over 2,000 properties were identified for inspection in an area of 292 square kilometers. Satellite data analysis revealed tax discrepancies in practically every other report. As the data show, the service provided by SatRev effectively supports the work of tax departments and is gaining increasingly wider interest among public entities due to its fast return on investment." - said SatRev President, Grzegorz Zwoliński.

It should be emphasized that the city's initiative in consulting with entrepreneurs is a significant factor attracting investors and conducive to creating an innovative and competitive business environment. Through cooperation with SatRev, the city can also use advanced tools and satellite data to analyze infrastructure and forecast changes using satellite technology, enabling even more precise and effective decision-making.

As a result, investors and entrepreneurs have greater confidence in the stability and attractiveness of the local market, contributing to increased trust and interest in investments. The long-term engagement of the city in consultations with entrepreneurs and partnership with companies such as SatRev are key to building a dynamic and thriving business ecosystem that attracts not only capital but also talent, while fostering innovation and socio-economic development.
